About the Program

Toronto Public Health runs a dental clinic out of the Parkdale Queen West site. They offer basic dental services, which may include:

  • Examinations
  • X-rays
  • Teeth Cleanings
  • Fillings
  • Select Extractions
  • Select Root Canal Treatments
  • Crown and Bridge
  • Complete and Partial Dentures
  • Bruxism Appliances (Nightguards)
  • Sports Mouthguards
  • Specialists Referrals
  • Emergency and urgent dental care to treat issues like dental pain or cavities
  • Full or partial dentures are also covered

Your treatment is dependent on your overall health condition and your oral health needs.

You must also be eligible for a government dental program. Different dental programs have different terms of coverage.

Eligibility

  • Children and youth between the ages of 0 to 17 years whose families do not have dental insurance and who meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Adults aged 18-64 with a government funded dental plan (e.g. Ontario Works or ODSP).
