Harm Reduction Satellite Program identifies leaders who live in buildings/houses/rooming house with personal experience with drug use and connections with neighbours who use drugs in Parkdale and provides them with trainings, supports and resources to support their community.

The Satellite program aims to connect people who use drugs in Parkdale area to supports after hours and/or not connected to supports and services they need to peer supports, harm reduction supplies, education, resources and other supports and services.

Satellite Workers volunteer 4 hours/week to:

• Distribute harm reduction and safer sex supplies and resources to friends and neighbours
• Provide training on overdose response and safe sharps disposal
• Refer people to community programs and health services
