The City of Toronto recently declared today, March 2, 2020 – and the first Monday in March every year from now on – as Black Mental Health Day! This proclamation recognizes the impact of anti-Black racism on the mental health of Black Torontonians and in Black communities. It is an opportunity for reflection, productive dialogue, acknowledgment of the need for systemic change and individual and collective action.
To mark this first Black Mental Health Day at PQWCHC, Nancy Steckley has designed 3 posters which will be displayed at all sites later today. Below the posters, you will find links to information about this day, as well as relevant resources and events worth checking out.
